The annual inflation rate in Chile fell to 2.7 percent in November of 2020 from 3 percent in the prior month, amid a slowdown in prices of food & non-alcoholic beverages (6.8 percent vs 8 percent in October), furnishings (4.7 percent vs 5.2 percent) and recreation & culture (0.7 percent vs 1 percent). In addition, cost declined for clothing & footwear (-3.3 percent vs 1.6 percent) and communication (-1.8 percent vs -1.7 percent). On the other hand, prices rebounded for transport (0.3 percent vs -0.6 percent) while inflation edged higher for housing & utilities (2.2 percent vs 1.5 percent); health (2.2 percent vs 2.1 percent) and restaurants & hotels (2.3 percent vs 1.9 percent).
